Karate is an all-encompassing mind, body and spirit activity that teaches children how to improve their mental strength as well as physical strength and coordination - and all whilst having fun.
Karate can help children to:
  • learn to have the courage and commitment to never give up so that they can follow their dreams with improved focus
  • respect everyone, both peers and teachers, while improving their stability and core strength
  • control their movement through a range of stances and understand how to defend themselves in a safe manner

​A Fun and Engaging Way
​to Learn

Our karate program is structured and as it progresses, the children’s learning is scaffolded to ensure they build on their previous knowledge.  All of the lessons follow our framework of:
  • Why? (context),
  • What? (theory),
  • How? (guided practice) and
  • What if…? (independent tasks).

We teach children about body awareness which can only be learned through a whole body approach in martial arts training.  Children will gain improved motor skills and physical coordination which may lead to greater general health and performance in other sports.

Hands On!

Everyone is a budding Bruce Lee, and our classes give plenty of opportunity to try out new moves - all in a safe environment with an emphasis on physical fitness, safety and fun.

Lead by example

All of our karate coaches are passionate about this martial art and are perfect role models to teach children the foundations for self-discipline, acting responsibly and with compassion at all times.
